CCME On a Roll

The recent CCME Professional Development Symposium held in Anaheim, California, was an exceptional event, thanks to our members and volunteer board.

"I believe this year's symposium will be remembered as one of the most dynamic and relevant," said Jim Yeonopolus, immediate past president. "The location was wonderful, the speakers were fantastic, the sessions were spot on and relevant, and the food was great."

These comments were echoed by incoming president, Jeff Cropsey, who stated "The CCME conference was a great success! Inspiring speakers, the latest developments in military education and great networking opportunities makes this conference not to be missed!"

In addition to the usual timely and topical sessions related to military and veteran education, the theme of the 2015 event "Innovative Pathways to Military Student Success," centered on innovation that enhances student success and the technology that facilitates that innovation.

CCME is evolving - with this symposium the board took the first steps to create a new focus, committed to serving military educators better by building partnerships among institutions, business, and industry to better serve our students, especially as they transition from the military into the civilian workplace. To help us strengthen that focus, we have added an industry/career liaison to our board, as well as a veteran services liaison.
