Nagma Meharali

Cybersecurity Skills Lead, Microsoft Philanthropies

Nagma began her journey in education as a volunteer history teacher, passionate about discovering best practices for teaching her students. After graduating from Stanford University with an M.Ed., Nagma taught students from diverse backgrounds, leading the first Python computer science classes on campus. Then, Nagma supported the Microsoft Philanthropies TEALS (Technology Education and Learning Support) Program by bringing volunteers to support computer science teachers in the classroom. This experience led to a deep commitment to making educational opportunities in tech accessible to all learners. Currently, Nagma is the Cybersecurity Skills Lead within Microsoft Philanthropies and works with nonprofits worldwide. Additionally, she spends time playing with Lucky, her 100-pound Rhodesian Ridgeback/Lab mix, and travelling with her 3-year old and husband (4 states down, 46 left to go!).
