Mr. Nicholas Boyle

Thomas Edison State University

Originally from Northern Michigan, Nicholas Boyle left in 1994 to attend college at Indiana Tech in Fort Wayne, IN. After a few semesters, things didn't work out, and he changed directions by joining the Navy in 1996 to become a Nuclear Machinist Mate. After returning from his second deployment in 2009, he continued his journey in education by enrolling at Thomas Edison State University. He retired from the Navy in 2016, having served on four aircraft carriers and one shore duty, all stationed in Norfolk, VA. In the fall of 2016, he finally completed his BSAST in Nuclear Energy Engineering Technology from TESU. Immediately upon completion, he received a job offer at Norfolk Naval Shipyard as a Nuclear Shift Test Engineer Instructor, which he accepted and continued serving the country as a civilian in Federal Service. In 2019, he transferred to the QA Department, where he became a Workforce Development Specialist for the 500-person department, which he continues to do today.
