In a time of rapid change and boundless possibility, The Future Is Now centers on the pivotal role of military learners in shaping the future of education, workforce development, and national resilience. This convening brings together educators, innovators, policymakers, and service members to explore how higher education serves as a strategic force—equipping military learners with the tools to lead, adapt, and thrive.

Through the lens of AI, digital transformation, and equitable access, the conference highlights how collaborative partnerships can unlock new pathways to upskilling, reskilling, and real-world impact. Together, we will spotlight solutions that empower learners, strengthen communities, and drive national progress—from the classroom to the frontlines and beyond.

Session Types
To support a dynamic and engaging program, proposals must clearly indicate the session type being submitted. All sessions should align with the conference theme, The Future Is Now: Educate, Engage, Empower, and be designed to deliver relevant, actionable insights for our diverse audience of educators, innovators, policymakers, and military learners.

Concurrent Sessions

Format: One hour total (45 minutes of prepared content + 15 minutes Q&A).

Purpose: To deliver focused presentations, case studies, or panel discussions on timely topics aligned to one of the four learning tracks.

Structure: Presenters are expected to provide substantive content with clear takeaways, followed by an open Q&A period to deepen participant understanding.

Quantity: Approximately 16 concurrent sessions will be scheduled across four blocks.

Super Concurrent Sessions
​

Format: 90 minutes total.

Purpose: To explore complex topics in greater depth through interactive learning experiences that go beyond traditional presentations.

Structure: Sessions should include prepared content and incorporate active engagement strategies, such as small group activities, facilitated discussions, collaborative problem-solving, demonstrations, or other participatory elements in addition to Q&A.

Quantity: Approximately 12 super concurrent sessions will be scheduled (three per track).

Proposals for this format must describe how the session will actively engage participants.

Submissions should outline specific activities, tools, or facilitation methods that will be used to create a highly interactive experience.

Proposal Submission Process

Submit by Email
Email your completed proposal to strategyofficer@ccmeonline.org no later than midnight Pacific Time on Wednesday, 29 October. Receipt of your submission will be acknowledged by email.

Proposal Review
An independent review of all submitted proposals will begin on Thursday, 30 October. Reviewers will assess proposals using the published rubric and provide recommendations to the Board. The Board will make final decisions, which may include requesting additional information from submitters or activating a second independent review if needed. View submission rubric.

Notification of Decisions
Final decisions will be announced by Wednesday, 10 December. This timeline ensures sufficient time for the final planning of accepted proposals.
