CCME Workforce Scholarship

Eligibility

  • be a current or prior uniformed Service member, spouse, or child of a uniformed Service member

  • be currently enrolled in a credit-bearing or non-degree seeking program with a DoD Skillbridge provider that is also a CCME member institution/organization (reference list here) OR be currently enrolled in a credit-bearing or non-degree seeking program validated by the U.S. Department of Labor or a State Apprenticeship Agency and offered by a CCME member institution/organization (reference list here) that will result in an industry-recognized credential to include certification, licensure, or work experience programs (e.g., internship, apprenticeship). 

  • Submit an unofficial college or university transcript from your current institution, OR proof of enrollment from a workforce credential program

  • Essay written to prompt (see above) with APA format

      As a military-affiliated student, you understand the importance of resilience, service, and leadership. We seek to recognize students who are actively shaping a better future for themselves, their families, and their communities.

    • Prompt: In 500–750 words, describe how your experience as a military-affiliated student has influenced your educational journey and your personal mission. How are you using education to create meaningful impact, and how have you engaged with your military or local community in a way that uplifts and empowers others?

Scholarship Application Review Process


All applications will be evaluated by the CCME 2026 Scholarship Committee. 


Evaluations will be based on:  

  • Ability to follow instructions and include all supporting information

  • Adherence to this year’s essay writing topic and quality of content


Once the committee has vetted all proposal submissions, those that have been selected will be submitted to the CCME Board for final approval. Notifications will go out in late January 2026.
